Andrew (or Andy if you prefer) is a former Debian GNU/Linux developer who figured out he couldn't code for shit. In 2005, he graduated of the University of Wisconsin where he wrote his senior thesis on the history of technology with regard to intellectual property and copyright. Today he lives in DC and writes about music, tv, and whatever he likes, but especially technology, the Congress, the FCC, patents, software licenses, Web 2.0, intellectual property law and how they all intersect from the view of "Silicon Valley meeting Capitol Hill."
